The two person 14' 420 dinghy is the boat used in this course to take sailors deeper in their understanding of sailboat racing. The concepts of the 420 boat speed, boat handling, wind strategy, and tactics will be further developed. Most of our students will alternate skipper and crew positions because it is essential to know both ends of the boat. 420's will be provided, but parents guardians are expected to match up their child with a skipper or crew when registering for the class. As boat handling skills develop the boats will be equipped with spinnakers, and trapeze gear. Our coaches will add the finer points of advanced spinnaker and trapeze techniques. See registration form for more class schedule and additional course details.
