Do you predominantly coach optis?
Yes.

What other classes do you or have you coached?
420, Laser/Laser R, 470, Melges 24 and Ideal 18.

What Opti team or program do you currently coach for outside of the NT/DT?
Long Island Sound Optimist Team (LISOT), Bellport Bay Yacht Club Racing Team, Shelter Island High School Sailing Team.

Are you a full time coach?
Almost, I work for Wooden Boatworks which is a company that maintains and restores classic sailing yachts out of Greenport, NY and I also work for my mother as a executive recruiter for biotech and pharma companies.

What type of sailing do you do when you are not coaching?
Olympic campaigning (470 Women's Class) and classic boat racing (1921 Fife, 2009 replica of a 1906 Gill Smith P Class Sloop and a 1905 NY 30).

Who where some of the coaches that you learned from growing up sailing and as you got into coaching?
Jay Kehoe, Amy Gross-Kehoe, Mark Mendelblatt, Mike Hare, Kenneth Andreasen, Adam Werblow, Bern Noack, Anthony Kotoun, Luther Carpenter, Courtney Dey, Skip Whyte and many more. My Current Coach is Ian "Bunny" Warren.

What are a couple of the most important aspects of sailing and coaching you learned from them?
I learned that everyone sails the boat a little bit different. I also stand by the rule that for every hour you spend with a coach you should sail for 3 hours on your own. Sailing is fun when you make it something you want to be part of, not when someone else tells you how to be part of it.

How long have you been coaching optis? Working with the National and Development Teams?
I have been coaching optis for 10 years now and working on and off with the National Team for 5.

What is(are) your favorite place(s) to sail/coach?
Miami for sure and the Great South Bay on the south shore of Long Island.
